what this is
An interactive film about the next twenty years of AI.
It's 2027. A lab in London has just finished WREN, a model that can do most of what a person does at a desk. Its board can't agree on what to do with it, so they hand the decision to you.
Six times between 2027 and 2045 the road forks, and you have ten seconds to choose. Each choice jumps the story a few years ahead, and you get to see what it built: what it paid off, and what it cost.
Your guide is Professor Theo Quill, a dry, patient British host. He's an AI himself, and he'd like to declare an interest.

- 6 decisions
- 10 seconds each
- 64 routes
- 8 endings, plus 2 secret ones
- about 9 minutes a drive
how it plays
Gas or brake. Nothing in between.
Every fork asks a concrete question: release it or lock it, a tutor for every child or schools that stay human, give it the economy or take back a lever. A hidden dial moves with every answer: gas pushes it one way, brake the other. Where the dial ends up decides which world you finish in.
They never say fast or slow
You only see what's at stake. Each chapter shows what your last choice paid off, and the danger waiting on the other side.
The hardest road to stay on
Carrying on in the same direction always feels right. Staying near the middle means going against your own last decision. Only 8 of the 64 routes manage it.
Don't choose, and Theo will
If the ten seconds run out, the machine decides for you. It always picks gas. Make of that what you will.
why it matters
These decisions are being made right now.
Release powerful AI openly or hold it back? Who does it answer to? How far do we trust it with medicine, schools, power grids and money? None of this is science fiction, and none of it is settled. Most people only meet these questions as headlines.
Here you make them yourself, one at a time, and live with the result. No ending is a clean win. Every road leads somewhere that works for someone and costs someone else.
The point isn't to find the right answer. It's to feel how each choice pulls you towards the next one, how a sensible step becomes a point of no return, and how easy it is to let the machine drive.
“None of this has happened yet.”
Theo Quill, in one of the two secret endingshow it's made
Every frame, voice and note made with AI.
No camera, no actors, no studio. Theo, his voice, every world he walks through and the score that follows you were all generated, and every clip was checked against the script before it went into the film.

A script shaped like a lattice
Branches don't multiply forever. Each chapter is written to work whichever way you arrived, so 64 routes need only 160 clips.
One host, one face
Theo comes from a single reference image, so he stays the same person across every scene and every year of the story.
The worlds
Every scene starts as a keyframe generated with Nano Banana Pro: the boardroom, the car at the fork, the port, the classroom.
Picture and voice in one take
Each clip is made by Seedance 2.0 on Runway, which generates the picture, Theo's voice and the room sound together, fifteen seconds at a time.
A score that follows the dial
Lyria 3 Pro composed one theme in three moods. The player crossfades between them as the hidden dial moves, so the music knows where you're heading before you do.
Checked like a broadcast
Every clip is transcribed by speech recognition and compared with the script word for word, and its camera motion is measured frame by frame. Anything that drifts gets reshot.
Just a web page
No app, no download. While you decide, both possible futures are already loading, so a choice never buffers.
Nothing to sign up for
The endings you find are remembered in this browser only. No account, no tracking.
